Welcome to Personal Nursing Care

Dear Patients and Loved Ones,

My name is Sylvia and I am a Registered Nurse and a founder of Personal Nursing Care.  Also,  I am a member of the American Nurses Association. My experience starts at Intensive Care with Anesthesiology, through Hospice, and finishes with Home Health Care.
I have been caring for my patients with nursing experience for over twenty years improving the quality of their lives.  For over eight years, I have been on top of the list of caregivers for St. Thomas Hospice of Hinsdale. My patients could experience my personal touch with nursing care. Even though it was a difficult time for them physically and emotionally, I provided comfort in every way. Being a nurse and making a difference in my patients’ lives is not only my career but also my passion. The best compliment and reward in my job is when my patients or their families call me back for more help, often on multiple occasions.
Over the last twenty years of my career, I provided care and companionship to patients with diabetes, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, stroke, cancer, brain cancer, hypertension, and more. My responsibilities included staying with a patient in the hospital, bathing, preparing meals, feeding, dispensing the insulin, picking up and dispensing the medication, keeping up with doctors’ appointments, and much more.
I do respect my patients and I do care for them to the best of my abilities. That is why all my patients do well under my care. Many times, I am their advocate, looking out for them while they are hospitalized and cannot care for themselves.
I am looking forward to helping you or your loved one in need of professional care. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
With best regards,
Nurse Sylvia

Gratitude & Recommendations

Miss Cwiklinska is a young lady known to me from being a caregiver for an elderly lady who I took care of for many, many years prior to her demise.
During this time, Miss Cwiklinska was an attentive and excellent companion to my patient who at that time was in her 90’s and provided wonderful support in a close and loving relationship for this patient of mine.
I got to know Sylvia over several years and she would bring Mae to my office on a regular basis. She made sure that Mae was taking her medicines, supports her in the care that she needed to have, in spite of Mar, my patient, being a very demanding lady, who had a strong and supportive relationship.
Throughout this time, I found Sylvia to be excellent at her job. Always prompt with her attention to our visits and the changes that we would make at those visits and times.
I would highly recommend Sylvia for a caregiving job. I believe she is a strong candidate to provide that same level of care for anyone else who is entrusted to her for that attention.

Sylvia is the next best thing to having a family to take care of your loved ones. She has helped several of our family members in our family over the last 15 years. She took care of my Grandmother for 5 years so she could stay in her home. Over the last year, she took care of my Mother when her cancer worsened and stayed with her until she passed away even coordinating with the Hospice nurses for her care.
Her dedication to my Grandmother and Mother were unlike any care I have ever seen. When these two strong, independent women couldn’t take care of themselves, she stepped in and let them keep their dignity. They felt like they were chatting with a friend and not being “taken care of” since they couldn’t anymore.
I’m sorry if you are in an illness situation where you need Sylvia but you will get the best care possible for yourself or a loved one. She cooks a healthy plan, will run errands for you and help you get better peace of mind instead of having to go to a hospital.

I was incredibly fortunate to have the experience of having Sylvia as a caregiver for a family member. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking a very skilled, dedicated, and talented medical professional with extremely high integrity, genuine compassion and respect for her patients (and their family), and an unwavering commitment to the well-being and outcome of her patients. Sylvia is one of a kind!

Really want to thank you for your kindness to me and for helping me regain strength in the pleasures of life. It’s hard to put my feelings into writing, but you know me well to realize it’s my way of expressing gratitude for your helping hands during these months of health problems. […] The words “THANK YOU” are not enough to express my sincere and loving feelings. […] Love,

In 1966 I was diagnosed with Diabetes. Following the information given to me by a Diabetic Nurse and a Nutritionist left me confused and made it difficult for me to follow. At that time my husband became ill, so following a diabetic food plan was nearly impossible. The doctors gave me pills which did nothing but made me ill. Subsequently, my husband passed away. I tried to go back to my food plan but, my snacking and eating the wrong amount and the wrong foods left my A1C at nearly 10. I met Sylvia Through a Home Care Nurse in 2014. She saw what I was doing to myself. Slowly and with great patience she put me on a proper modified Food Plan, which improved my daily eating habits. Every day we went over my meal and snack plan. By 2015 my Daily Glucose count and A1C were down to nearly normal. This worked so well that my A1C is now 6.5. I am eighty nine years of age, I feel well and my doctor is satisfied with my numbers. I could have not done this without Sylvia. Sylvia Is my Angel.
